As part of its ongoing Drug De-Addiction and Health Awareness initiatives, the Global Research Group of Institutions (GRGI), through the Global Research Institute of Pharmacy (GRIP), Radaur, organized a health awareness programme at Pooja Modern Public School.
The session was conducted by Ms. Sakshi Bajaj, who educated students about safe medication practices and drug abuse prevention. She highlighted the serious risks associated with self-medication and substance abuse, emphasizing the importance of taking medicines only under proper medical guidance. Students were guided on understanding correct dosage, duration of treatment, and the importance of carefully reading medicine labels.
The programme also focused on the harmful effects of drug addiction on physical, mental, and social health. Practical strategies to prevent substance abuse were discussed, including resisting peer pressure, making informed decisions, seeking support from trusted adults or healthcare professionals, and adopting a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
The session was highly interactive and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, reflecting their growing awareness and interest in health-related issues. The programme concluded with a motivating message encouraging students to follow safe health practices and spread awareness among peers and family members.
